the why behind sheabyrd design lab
Raised in the creative spirit of Colorado and now rooted in Houston, I’ve always been drawn to self-expression. Art runs in my family and my identity has long been tied to a symbol my father designed for me at my birth—a one-of-a-kind bird he called the Sheabyrd.
After my journey through collegiate sports, I discovered my own creative path through fashion—sparked by the loss of a close friend. Designing a hat in his memory became the turning point. What started as a tribute became a passion: telling stories through wearable art.
Each Sheabyrd hat is more than a statement piece—it’s a symbol of identity, legacy, and connection.
